On May 27, 2009, the Board of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) approved a plan to build two new, state‐of‐the‐art, acute care hospitals in Campbell River and the Comox Valley (the Project). VICTORIA – The Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) has submitted its concept paper to build two new hospitals in Campbell River and the Comox Valley to the provincial government.
