Opening of new Campbell River and Comox Valley Hospitals one year away

CAMPBELL RIVER/COMOX VALLEY – In just one year residents of mid-and North Vancouver Island will begin benefitting from Island Health’s new hospitals in Campbell River and the Comox Valley.

“Comox Valley and Campbell River area residents are counting down to the opening for these two state-of-the-art facilities in the fall of 2017,” said Health Minister Terry Lake. “In just 12 months, two new hospitals will be ready to offer enhanced patient-centered care to those in the mid-and North Island.”

North Island Hospitals Project wins innovation award

2016-09-22

The North Island Hospitals Project has won another award for innovation excellence. The project’s design builder, Graham, won Gold in the ‘Builder/General Contractor Commercial over $500 million’ category at the Constructech Vision awards in Chicago August 18, 2016.

The award is from Chicago-based Constructech Magazine, which celebrates the places “where construction and technology converge.” The Constructech Vision Awards honour construction companies that have applied technology in innovative ways to remain competitive.
